'The Shield' movie?

In case you haven't heard, there are rumours about a possible 'Shield' movie, if there is popular demand.I think that's not a good idea.I mean, after a great final season and a great series finale, there is no point for such a move.I don't know, maybe the story could be great, but,given how the show ended, it would be better, if these plans didn't materialize.
