Overseas, two films that are regarded domestically as disappointments -- Angels & Demons and Terminator Salvation -- were doing stand-out business over the weekend. Spreading into 70 countries, the latest Terminator edition added $67.5 million to its gross to bring its foreign total to $97.2 million. Angels & Demons continued to perform strongly overseas, drawing $22.3 million, bringing its overseas total to $292.9 million and putting it into position to cross the $300-million mark internationally this week. "Tourists" Snap Shots for 'Angels & Demons'

When the production of Angels & Demons had been refused permission to shoot key scenes in the Vatican, special effects director Ryan Cook had a team of people blend in with tourists and take about 250,000 pictures and shoot hours of video to use as reference back in Los Angeles.
Cook said in an interview with an Italian movie magazine (then excerpted by The Scotsman, and further excerpted here): "The ban really put us in a lot of trouble because we could not use the precision instruments which are used to take photographs and make reconstructions in the computer."

Third Robert Langdon movie?

Based on the Lost Symbol , the new Dan Brown book about Robert Langdon,due out on September 15, in the US and Canada.It's expected to be the third movie, starring Robert Langdon, since Sony Pictures owns the rights to the character onscreen.
Angels & Demons (based on the first book with R.Langdon as the protagonist) is out on May 15
